Job Title: WellView/SiteView Application Support

Systems Analyst – Engineering Applications SupportThe Systems Analyst will work in a team that is the primary interface between business units and IT. He/she will analyze complex business needs presented by the user community and recommend and implement technical solutions by working with the Ops Apps support team and/or outside contractors as directed by the Director of Data.
  • Facilitate meetings with business users, gather detailed requirements in a high quality, clear and concise documentation, generate workflows diagrams and provide updates to management and key stakeholders.
  • Provide support, research application and data issues, identify deficiencies and/or data integrity issues and remediation solutions for all key applications supported by the IT Applications group.
  • Testing - Review and test new upgrades to Applications and other applications and provide support during implementation and/or upgrades.
  • Conduct Testing including generating test scripts, conduct test sessions with business users and prepare SOX documentation
  • Training - Provide end user training on the Applications and other in-house created applications. Develop training materials under the guidance of senior resources and management.
  • Data & Reports - Create reports and data extracts as needed by business. Identify opportunities for optimization of data integration processes between all supported software.
  • Project Management - Generate project plans as needed on small to medium sized projects.
  • Conduct meetings, track status and milestones and provide management with summarized and actionable updates.
  • Implement solutions, perform analysis and other duties as assigned relating to any system the Applications Group supports or as directed by Director of Data.
  • Communicate status to management proactively

Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in upstream oil and gas application support and development
  • Primary support of key engineering applications such as Peloton WellView and SiteView, Aries, ComboCurve, Actenum DSO, Petrel, Harmony)
  • Lead projects to streamline our business. (Software Upgrades, New Allocation Scenarios, Business Process Updates, Spotfire Dashboards, Application Testing, Software Implementation)
  • Advanced SQL programming skills are needed for writing complex queries.
  • Working knowledge of T-SQL to create database objects is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server including data models, backup/restores is a plus.
  • Strong analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and technical skills in data management
  • Experience/proficiency with data integration / ETL technologies is needed. SSIS is highly preferred, but similar ETL tools experience will be considered.
  • Experience/proficiency needed with report development using SSRS (Crystal Reports, or similar will also be considered); any other data visualization tools (Spotfire, PowerBI, or similar) experience is a plus.
  • Experience in developing and debugging in Python, C/C, R, C#, NoSQL, and/or Java is a plus
  • This is a user facing role, so candidate must be a strong communicator and be able to manage user requests and issues in a calm, friendly and effective manner

  • Strong work ethic and personal integrity.
  • Ability to provide after hours’ support, needed from time to time, and be on-call is required.
