Client is looking for an experienced Workday Application Engineer (Security) on the HR Platform.

Skills and Experience
  • Experience with Workday Day configuration including integrations and report writing experience.
  • Fundamental skills in scripting, coding and automation in applicable languages
  • Proficient in relational database concepts and can apply knowledge of an object-oriented program
  • Knowledge of security/access control design and assess feasibility of technical/ security changes and their impact.
  • Knowledge of system integration and APIs across platforms
  • Knowledge of Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Automate Flows and Power BI)
  • Basic skills in REST / SOAP APIs, test links with postman, and publish
  • Proficient in requirement spec, design, unit/functional test, acceptance tests
  • Experience in Scaled Agile Framework, Scrum, and DevOps processes and tools would be a plus
  • HR Business domain knowledge to automate business workflows & processes
  • Ability to influence, conflict resolution skills, and resolving technical issues

Responsibilities
  • Conducts initial triage and impact analysis of incidents preventing business operations
  • Debugs to find and fix errors, applies basic programming concepts/patterns, can decipher error messages, and some experience in low code programming
  • Performs analysis and configuration of systems and associated peripheral/feeder systems supporting the business
  • Work with a group of offshore and onshore members to deliver critical changes, support critical IT Plans
  • Support Operational Excellence objectives for overall system reliability, security, availability, responsiveness, effectiveness, and operational costs.
  • Monitors and adheres to service level performance metrics.
  • Promotes and improves system quality assurance processes and applies application and infrastructure changes to eliminate future incidents.
  • Perform RCA’s for problem resolution of various production related issues
  • Gather business requirements and translate business needs into fit-for-purpose actionable plans based on clarity and rational decision criteria
  • Support the functional business design, concepts and capabilities of the business system components and associated peripheral/feeder systems
  • Configures software and applies simple code changes to improve business processes and increase business value of systems
  • Collaborate with business partners and team members to assess impact, develop functional specifications, and test requirements
  • Manages end tend test execution cycles to validate changes and minimize riskPlans and executes security access provisioning, software installation/upgrades, tools release upgrades
  • May be asked to play the Product Owner role as knowledge and experience deepen, primarily responsible for working closely with Product Managers to understand the backlog, defining user stories for the team, and prioritizing the team backlog; ensures smooth execution of commitments and technical integrity of the solution
