As an Workday Integration Solution Architect/Lead in Platform services Corporate Business Systems group, this individual provide solutions, guidance and mentoring to the Integrations team across HR systems and Workday and lead Integrations and Interfaces development integrating Workday with other data integration applications and support strategic and transformation initiatives such as Aurora.The Workday Integration Architect/Lead is responsible for Integration strategy, Architecture, Design and Development and secure connections following best standards and practices to deliver business value in Workday. Also, operate, maintain, and improve the Integrations and Interfaces in middleware and Integration platforms for our HR teams with Workday as our core platform within the ecosystem.He/she will be leading Middleware technologies Workday Cloud Integration, Oracle Data Integrator and APIGEE, taking a broad based view of business processes across core functional domains to deliver integration solutions across Workday and boundary systems across the ecosystem.You will ensure successful implementation of all Integrations and interfaces development in Workday.Partnering with the HR and Finance Solution Delivery Teams to evaluate requirements, research solutions and advice on best practices and considerations when making decisions.

  • This individual will engage with technical delivery teams including functional leads, application teams, QA, Project Managers, and business partners and operations.
  • Orchestrate key proof-of-concept to assess the potential business value of new middleware tools and technologies.
  • Serve as a technical advisor and subject matter expert on our most complex issues regarding Workday APIs, security, authentication and integration solutions, providing technical knowledge and answers to questions regarding their use.
  • Work individually or within project teams and participate in all phases of the development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, transition, and support.
  • Set expectations and determine the timing of availability and delivery of integrations.
  • Work with CISO and security team for review and implement security policies and standards as per project timelines.
  • Support Interfaces Audit’s and Application and data security requirements.
  • Lead Integration team, provide guidance to team members in onsite and offshore in architecture, design, and development and ensure following standards and best practices in Interface development.
  • Support critical and priority projects with best quality, optimize, and scale systems considering long-term needs and future volume increase to meet the business requirements and SLA’s.
  • Develop deep knowledge of the integration runbook and impacted functional areas.
  • Perform impact analysis for major changes to Workday either through Solution Delivery or Workday releases.
  • Manage the deployments and monitor and report on ongoing performance and health of integrations.
  • Maintain proper technical and change management documentation to satisfy the company’s internal/external audit controls.

Other responsibilities Include:

Project delivery:
  • Lead Workday integrations across all projects using Workday Cloud Integration, Oracle Data Integrator, and APIGEE, ensuring successful implementation of all interfaces in timely fashion following best standards, architecture strategy, CISO/Security requirements and recommendations in design and development.
  • Provide thought leadership in development, ITC and production support to address any defects in terms of performance, scalability and error handling.
  • Build connectivity and configuration setup with partners and co-ordinate with external/internal partners and building centralized monitoring dashboards and alerts in Workday Cloud Integration, Informatica etc. Build self-healing and auto-recovery capabilities to identify and resolve any issues proactively. Change management and Deployments and Interfaces Audit controls.
  • Run and Operate: Own and support Workday Interfaces across HR integrations by collaborating with other IT teams,
  • business and external partner’s including managed services in resolving any production issues, handle escalations, prioritizing the activities.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and provide solutions to address issues/gaps and long term business needs. Provide support on outages and help resolve them with in MTTR and provide root cause to management. Reduce cost of ownership and exceed customer SLAs.
  • Strategic Leadership: Lead innovation and “Build vs Buy” to deliver best in class solutions. Develop technical strategic roadmap to drive customers experience and improve operational efficiency, performance improvements and support innovation initiatives in Workday for automation and ML/AI capabilities in HR. Deliver enterprise level impact through influencing organization(s) to deliver solutions using the latest trends or technologies.

Where you'll be working:This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll need to have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience as Workday Integration lead/Architect.
  • Knowledge of Workday Integration Cloud , Core connectors HCM, Security and RaaS as well as at least one additional Workday modules (Adv. Compensation, Payroll, Recruiting, Talent, Time Tracking, Absence, Learning, Benefits, BIRT).
  • Experience in leading, design and development of Workday Interfaces and Integrations and also supporting Workday Post-Production .
  • Experience in Workday integration technologies such as EIB, Document Transformation, and Workday Studio.
  • Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • A degree.
  • Workday Implementer Certification or Workday PRO Certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EDI, Web Services technologies (e.g., REST, JSON, SOAP, HTTP, SSL, PGP, SAML), XML, XSLT, Java or other integration technology.
  • Strong knowledge in other middleware tools such as Oracle Data Integrator and APIGEE.
  • Ability to lead Workday Integration team on large scale projects for the full project lifecycle – from initial scoping/planning, discovery, design, development, testing, and go-live.
  • Proven ability to influence a wide variety of audiences, including partners, employees and executive management.
  • Demonstrated commitment and achievement to delivery excellence and client satisfaction; strong client focus with the ability to understand client needs and build relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and colleagues in a remote working environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work to ensure overall timeliness and quality standards. Ability to effectively manage against timelines, deadlines, and goals.
  • Understanding of scope and details of a project plan. Possess the ability to identify and communicate risks, issues, performance concerns, the need for resources, etc to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience implementing complex, practical business solutions under competing deadlines and priorities while keeping a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to be effectively and actively leading multiple, concurrent projects. Demonstrated ability to prioritize conflicting demands with little supervision.
  • Able to come up with improvements in tools and/or processes to help the practice.
  • Experience defining Integration strategy, Architecture design and prototyping, training, defining support procedures and implementing business process improvements.
