Job Duties

Classroom Instruction

Assists the MLL Teacherin small group instruction for multi-lingual learners.

Organizes MLL lessons for small groups.

Recordstudent reading data daily.

Assist students to reach academic success.

Creates a classroom environment that cultivates learning, engages the interests of the students, and allows them to perform at their very best. 

Utilizes academically rigorous lessons, unit plans, rubrics and assessments aligned to Athlos’ 3 foundational pillars of a Prepared Mind (https://www.athlosjp.org/academics/prepared-mind-pillar/) , Healthy Body (https://www.athlosjp.org/academics/healthy-body-pillar/) , and Performance Character (https://www.athlosjp.org/academics/performance-character-pillar/) . 

Collect and report data on students’ academic progress

Differentiates assistance based on individual needs, learning style, and abilities. 

Classroom and School Culture

Communicates a deep belief that all students can learn, and belong, in the classroom.

Creates a positive learning environment by developing classroom rules, systems, and procedures.

Other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Classroom and video platforms such as: Zoom or Teams.

Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage the entire classroom.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Experience working in diverse communities and a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives.

Demonstrated integrity and high standards in managing information in a confidential and professional manner.
