We’re looking for a highly creative and experienced Art Director to lead the visual storytelling for OWALA. In this role, you’ll guide the art direction for both still and video content, ensuring consistency, originality, and a strong brand identity across all touchpoints. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, a strong design sensibility, and a passion for crafting visually engaging content across digital, print, and experiential channels.You should bring a deep understanding of content platforms and proven expertise in design and art direction. We value team players who thrive in collaborative environments and bring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a team of 3–4 designers, providing guidance and support in executing a wide range of print and digital projects.Translate strategic direction into compelling creative concepts and executions.Oversee all aspects of art direction and visual storytelling for Owala brand campaigns and content shoots—ensuring work is on-brand, aspirational, inclusive, and delivered within budget.Stay current on trends in design, fashion, film, art, media, technology, and the hydration industry to inform and inspire the team’s creative work.Collaborate cross-functionally with brand marketing, copywriters, developers, product managers, sales teams, and photographers to drive projects from concept through execution—delivering work that meets both brand and business goals.Develop creative strategies that increase brand awareness and engagement across channels.Ensure the highest quality standards, consistency, and accuracy across all creative output.Cultivate and manage relationships with external creative partners—photographers, filmmakers, illustrators, designers, and agents—to support campaign and content needs.Apply deep knowledge of digital and social platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok) to develop impactful content, including for e-commerce, email, and retail environments.Serve as a collaborative, inspiring leader across design, production, and photography—fostering a high-performing, inclusive, and motivated team culture.Present creative concepts and campaign ideas with clarity and confidence to stakeholders.Lead the development of creative briefs, proposals, presentations, and visual treatments.
