NPosition Type ManagementJOB SUMMARYThe Associate Systems Engineer - Collaboration Products serves as technical resource in a complex array of solutions. An ideal candidate will exhibit strong communications skills, be self-motivated, adaptable, and dependable. This individual will play a critical role assisting the engineering and support of Technology Workplace Products End User Technology Collaboration Products and Services. They will assist in resolving complex issues and providing input and ideas for decisions on more complex, non-routine service requests with limited to moderate risk. This role will be called upon to assist with research, analysis, design, creation, and implementation of systems to meet current and future user requirements. This individual will participate in multiple projects to help ensure successful completion.Required Education & Experience:

Undergraduate degree in an engineering or computer science discipline and/or equivalent experience/certification

Prior experience in information technology including:

Microsoft 365 and other Collaboration Products:

online services, configurations, and licensing

Collaboration tool administration (e.g., Box, SharePoint, One Drive, Teams)

File & Folder sharing

Integrations with Microsoft 365 security tooling, as well as other security tooling such as Splunk, Crowdstrike, etc.

Prior experience or training in Agile/DevOps methodologies

Ability to independently research and recommend tools, software, applications, and systems for attaining best-in-class IT technology across the enterprise.

Ability to drive an idea or concept to an actual solution with significant autonomy.

Ability to create constructive relationships, influence, and communicate (to project team, IT management, and non-technical staff).

Preferred:

Solid technical knowledge of current & emerging infrastructure systems & standards

2+ years’ experience in Agile delivery, user-centered design, design thinking, heuristic analysis, and Riskiest Assumption Testing methods

2+ years’ experience integrating emerging technology business using both on premise and cloud infrastructure preferably in a large, global business

Knowledge of the best available tools, software, applications, and systems for attaining best-in-class technology platforms across the enterprise.

Demonstrated understanding of security policies and solutions for Collaboration Products such as SharePoint, One Drive, Teams, Box, Zoom, etc.

Ability to create constructive relationships, influence, and communicate (to product team, engineering management, and non-technical staff).

Experience in the design, implementation and operational support of mission critical solutions

Demonstrated experience delivering technology solutions in a fast-paced, deadline driven enterprise environment

Demonstrated experience learning and applying new technologies to solve business needs

Strong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across competing priorities

Demonstrated ability to perform independently as a member of a team and through cross functional initiatives.

Experience in researching emerging technologies and trends, contributing to security standards and implementations

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to interact with Information Security teams and contribute to best practices for security within all Collaboration Products.

Core Work Activities

Assist in security incident response activities, as needed.

Assist in evaluation, investigation, and testing of new technologies with other teams

Provides input to the overall architecture, operational governance model of cloud solutions

Supports analysis of the current environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommends solutions for improvement

Consults with project teams to assist in identifying when it is necessary to modify services to accommodate project needs

Aids in the development and execution of delivery plans in close coordination with technical and non-technical stakeholders to achieve desired timelines and roadmaps

Assists engineering, oversight, governance, and tactical direction related to the cloud collaboration services that are required to enable the delivery of IT services

Researches, assists in designs, and tests components that are standards based, high performing, highly available, and secure in delivering the required business functionality within Collaboration Products and Services

Assists in the education of internal and external users on the technologies to continually improve the knowledge and skill-base of the organization on how to operate Collaboration Products and Services

Assists in the evaluation and selection of Collaboration products and services

Assists in developing test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for assigned projects

Delivering Technology

Assists in quantitative and qualitative analyses for service design processes and projects.

Assists with the Service Delivery and Transition teams in planning and coordinating implementation, reviewing quality control of systems functional design, usability, functionality, and implementation.

Supports, implements, and promotes standard configuration and change management, processes and practices

IT Governance

Follows all defined standards and processes (i.e. IT Governance, SM&G, Architecture, etc.), and provides input for improvements to the appropriate process owners as needed

Maintains a proper balance between business and operational risk

Follows the defined project management standards and process

Aids in the development of test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for assigned projects

Managing Projects and Priorities

Thinks creatively and practically to develop, execute, and implement new project plans.

Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.

Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates the quality of operations.

Demonstrates an understanding of business priorities.

Provides recommendations to improve the effectiveness of processes and programs.

Demonstrates advanced knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.

Demonstrates advanced knowledge of function-specific procedures.

Applies knowledge/judgment to achieve business goals.

Foresees, identifies, and resolves problems.

Keeps up-to-date technically and applies new knowledge to job.

Performs other reasonable duties as required for this position.

The salary range for this position is $63,150 to $115,775 annually.
