Description Robert Half is offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer located in Sandy, Utah with one of our clients. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in the team, providing legal advice and support to business operations, primarily focusing on real estate and tax law. This role involves working closely with multiple entities, including acquisitions, real estate, construction, and brokerage, with a particular focus on construction and personal partners. Responsibilities: Provide legal advice and guidance on tax amendments from 2020 and beyond. Consult and assist partners in claiming costs and filing taxes while adhering to all guidelines. Provide both reactive and proactive support on matters related to S Corp filing or LLC. Work on capital gains whenever possible. Collaborate closely with partners, providing legal advice on aggressive filings and expenses. Support partners in maximizing small business benefits. Handle legal matters related to acquisition, real estate, construction, and brokerage. Use case management software and Adobe Acrobat to handle and manage legal documents. Utilize skills in civil litigation, claim administration, and complaint handling as needed. Offer legal expertise in consumer electronics and tax law. The selected candidate should be ready to approach tasks with an entrepreneurial mindset and be prepared to consult and advise partners on various legal matters.Requirements Must hold a valid law degree from an accredited institution Must have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience as an Attorney/Lawyer Should have experience in using Adobe Acrobat, Conveyancer, and Document Management Familiarity with 3M and Case Management Software is essential Should have experience in Briefing, Civil Litigation, Claim Administration, and Complaint Handling Familiarity with Consumer Electronics is a plus Must have a strong understanding of Tax Law Must uphold the highest ethical standards and have the ability to maintain confidentiality Effective communicator with excellent negotiation skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Must be licensed to practice law in the state where the job is located Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents.
