The Workplace team is a passionate and fast-paced team that provides a high-quality work environment for the clients we serve. Our projects sit at the intersection of real estate, facilities, interior design and IT and consist of design, planning, construction through occupancy life cycles. As a Building Technology Specialist on the Workplace team, you will provide initial support and build-out of complex audio, visual, and video conferencing technology in tandem with physical security, sound masking and paging, low voltage wiring, and conferencing room lighting to ensure high availability, reliability and usability. Works with the core project team, key internal partners and external vendors to execute projects seamlessly. Operates with a goal of creating an accessible and inclusive workplace for all employees, regardless of where and how they work. This role will report to the leader of the Workplace team. Responsibilities- Provides support to existing building technology and workplace team
- Works with internal and external partners as the onsite support and contact for AV, Video conferencing and security system installation
- Manages AV issues followed by solution-oriented recommendations and execution.
- Partners with Desktop Services to train key IT partners and corporate event team on new technology
- Tracks performance and reliability of AV, Video conferencing and Security systems
- Contributes to team effort to implement workspace improvements including AV and construction projects
- Travel as needed to our outer offices to oversee both installation and decommission of AV in workspaces
- Connect and keep in close contact with our IT partners in outer offices throughout the technology life cycle
- Understanding and knowledge of audio-visual room systems and installation
- Understanding and knowledge of physical facilities security systems and installation
- Knowledge of video conference room systems (Zoom & Teams) equipment and installation
- Experience and knowledge of IT network infrastructure wiring and installation
- Ability to troubleshoot complex problems and take swift corrective action to solve the problem both onsite and in outer offices
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and employees

- 3+ years experience with AV & VC room support
- 3+ years experience in installation, configuration, monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting IT building technology projects
- College degree in technical field or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge low voltage wiring, AV and physical security system installation
- Background in music and/or acoustic preferred
- Background in IT hardware support
