AECOM is actively seeking a motivated, hands-on Construction Materials & Quality Control Technician / Field Runner to support major transportation infrastructure projects throughout Utah. You will work closely with inspectors, contractors, laboratory personnel, and project managers to help ensure construction activities meet project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesPerform field and laboratory testing of construction materials including concrete, asphalt, aggregate, soil, and other roadway materials.Collect, transport, and track material samples between project sites and testing laboratories.Conduct daily field observations and inspections to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality requirements.Maintain accurate testing records, inspection reports, and project documentation.Support quality assurance and quality control efforts on active construction projects.Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, laboratory staff, and project teams regarding testing schedules and project needs.Assist with monitoring construction activities and documenting project progress.Participate in punch list activities, testing, and project closeout efforts.Track quality-related issues and communicate findings to project stakeholders.Utilize experience and judgment to prioritize assignments and meet project deadlines.Provide on-the-job guidance and training to less experienced team members as needed.Safely operate company vehicles and travel to project sites throughout the region.
