Hire and supervise staff. Participate in education and training activities. Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures in the work area and always use applicable protective equipment to prevent exposure to potentially infectious blood and body fluids. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers. WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD Key Responsibilities:

Direct daily operations of the inventory and distribution department

Responsible for the supervision of staff and volunteers including, but not limited to, hiring, training, coaching, engaging, evaluating, certification of competency, and disciplining to ensure a well-qualified team and to enhance operational success and compliance.

Prepare work schedules and ensure appropriate coverage for assigned shift. Supervise all work processes and ensure work is performed accurately and efficiently.

Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and regional policies and procedures. Perform supervisory review of documents. Ensure Invoice monitoring, reconciliation, and timely payment of all bills.

Ensure quality and quantity of inventory and distribution goals are met, including timelines, and accurate electronic and physical inventories location for products are maintained.

Participate in documenting, investigating, troubleshooting, and preventing recurrence of department errors, problems, and customer concerns/complaints. Participate in process improvements.

Lead suspect product/sample management process.

May participate in the validation of hardware, software, instrumentation, test kits, and procedures as directed. Serve as departmental expert on the applicable computer systems. Maintain the required records and files.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.

Management Experience: 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.

Skills and Abilities: Must have effective communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of blood products, supplies, and the ability to interact with diverse customers (internal and external) is required. Ability to work on a team.

Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).
