LabWare LIMS API Developer to join our customer in

Taylorsville, UT. This is an

Job Requirement :Client is seeking a skilled developer who can develop and deploy various integration processes designed to exchange data between the numerous systems implemented at UPHL. This talented, independent and tenacious person will determine integration needs of new applications by participating in analysis meetings with various departments and user application groups.

Key ExperienceExperience collecting interface development requirements, analyzing sample HL7 messages, and developing HL7 ADT, ORM and ORU interfaces using Mirth Interface Engine.Experience with API, Web services, XML, and/or HL7 data exchanges.Experience analyzing, designing, and developing software using Java and J2EE Technologies.Experience implementing webbased technologies in the healthcare environment.Strong Java and web services development.Aptitude to learn quickly and are self-driven.Experience parsing/working with delimited files.Develop, test and implement new solutions per standards and best-fit for data exchange.Unit testing HL7 interfaces and system testing to make sure the interfaces meet the requirements.Prepare flow diagrams for the interfaces being developed.Hands-on experience with DevOps and environment hosting.

Client is one of the top public health labs in the United States in terms of testing and sequencing capacity and continues to grow and expand the program striving to become a model for public health labs across the nation. Currently UPHL is applying next gen sequencing across a broad range of microbial and bacterial specimens from COVID-19 to wastewater, to wildlife and newborn illnesses. The lab applies Bioinformatic analysis in order to analyze, interpret and make sense of the sequencing data.

Requirements3+ years Java, Python.3+ years of GraphQL APIs.3+ experience with EDI, API, HL7 as well as RESTful API, JSON and an understanding of FHIR for HL7 and EDI transformations or similar interface experience, preferably in health care or related field required.3+ years of experience working with RDBMS.Exhibit excellent critical thinking.Derive enjoyment from solving puzzles and challenges across a broad range of issues.Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills.Collaborate effectively with a diverse set of peers and stakeholders.Must be an analytical thinker, comfortable taking the initiative in situations where completely baked ideas or designs have not been completed, driving them to fully formed designs.

ExperienceHealthcare clinical background and experience working with HL7 messages.Work with Product owners to groom the user stories.Work with architects to understand and contribute to the solution.Develop software components.
