Do you enjoy working with your hands, problem solving, and having a sense of accomplishment daily? We are seeking a personally accountable, skilled, high performing and self-managing machine operator who pride themselves on doing things right. The machine is a custom built machine that folds papers, attaches a plastic card and seals the package.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate the machine and perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Starts and operates machinery to the specified standards and meets quotas.
  • Inspects and evaluates operation to verify conformance to specifications as well as performs light maintenance on machinery.
  • Notifies supervisor of immediate or anticipated problems during the production process.
  • Makes routine adjustments to machine controls and guides, consistent with standard operating procedures.
  • Performs cleaning of machine parts and surrounding area.
  • Removes jams and stops machine in circumstance that may result in injury to personnel or damage to equipment or product.
  • Fills out and maintains required production logs and status documentation.
  • Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

Qualifications:

  • 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Have both a High School Diploma or GED and/or 1 year of continuous work experience.
  • Ability to learn and operate the machinery.
  • Some troubleshooting experience on production machines, mechanically inclined.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specs and tolerances associated with creating machined parts and components.
  • Ability to read various measuring instruments such as scales and calipers.
  • Ability to select tooling, feeds and speeds applicable for the machinery and operations that they perform.
  • Understanding of basic part inspection methods, techniques, equipment, and tooling, including a basic understanding of coordinate measuring machine operation.
  • Ability to work with limited or no supervision.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs.
  • Physical requirements - Extended periods of Standing & Walking, Visual Acuity, Manual Dexterity
