Maint Mechanic - Equip (Hydraulics)Location : OGDEN, UT, United StatesJob Family : ManufacturingJob Type : RegularPosted : Jul 8, 2024Job ID : 50200Back to Search ResultsJob DescriptionApply Now >Save JobJob SavedWith minimum guidance in a team environment, responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repairtasks of a complex scope and nature in one or more of the following areas: plumbing, carpentry, painting, airconditioning, equipment, production and N/C machinery.Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:

Remove, repair or relocate machine parts; install air & water lines; align and adjust machines for production operation.

Diagnose defects and perform repair and preventive maintenance to various types of hydraulic equipment, machine tools, building plumbing and related equipment.

Construct, install, maintain, repair and overhaul test stands, fixtures and related hydraulic equipment.

Setup and operate arc and acetylene welding equipment.

Perform high pressure tubing and hose fabrication for hydraulic and pneumatic application and contamination control.

Plan, layout and construct additions, partitions, benches, shipping boxes and other carpentry.

Assist in planning sequence of operations and methods to be used in overhaul and repair.

Check and calibrate new or rebuilt equipment after installation.

Identify and repair numerical controlled machine malfunctions.

Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and mechanical operations for proper operation.

Use precision test equipment.

May work with computers and computer software to create and operate programs, reports, and spreadsheets.

As a specialized hazardous material technician, may:

Coordinate purchase, inventory delivery and pickup of hazardous material and maintain current inventory of onsite chemicals.

Advise and assist in clean‐up of chemical spills.

Coordinate packaging, labeling, storing, and scheduling pickup of hazardous waste for offsite disposal.

Maintain accurate records of all hazardous waste shipped offsite.

Initiate compliance inspections.

Provide technical assistance on hazardous materials compliance and safe practices.

Perform other related responsibilities.

Five years related maintenance experience or demonstrated ability to perform describedresponsibilities.May require proficiency with pump and valve overhaul procedures, especially aerospace associated equipment.Ability to work from blueprints and sketches.

Possess required tools.

May require ability to setup and operate carpentry, hand and power tools.

May require working knowledge of national, state and local electrical codes.

May require knowledge of general hydraulics technology, i.e. pumps, cylinders, accumulators, filters, & piping; tube bending, piping fabrication for hydraulic and pneumatic applications.

May require knowledge of chemicals and their characteristics.

May require working knowledge of computer and computer software to operate programs, create reports, and spreadsheets.

May require a Hazardous Material Handling Certificate

Required to lift up to 50 pounds.

May require forklift operator certification.
