Cleaning may include but is not limited to the cleaning of nylon, olefin, wool, and other carpet types. This may also include the cleaning of upholstery in various areas of campus. Responsible to maintain and perform maintenance of all equipment used and to insure the proper and safe use of all equipment assigned to them. Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, and pumps in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
May make work assignments for maintenance and follows up on assignments to ensure that work was completed properly and on time.
May train maintenance workers on specific standards, procedures and policies to be followed.
May review time cards for crew and prepares time sheets for submission to department.

Minimum QualificationsFour years relevant work experience in the applicable trades areas or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); demonstrated knowledge of national, state and local building codes and standards; ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and be able to make mechanical sketches and drawings; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required. Requires lifting and transporting heavy objects.
