Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for you to join our team as a Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Technician 2 based out of Clearfield, UT.Performs non-destructive tests (NDT) on aircraft engines or components. Inspects metallic and nonmetallic materials, parts and assemblies for defects using automated and manual methods and techniques including radiography, ultrasound, penetrant, eddy current, laser shearography, and magnetic particle. Requires certifications in non-destructive testing in accordance with regulations, specifically Ultrasonic certification in accordance with NAS410.Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent GED (education will be verified) and 2 years related experience

Level 2 Certification per NAS410 in Ultrasonics (certification will be verified).

Minimum of 1-2 years related Ultrasonic experience using automated and hand held pulse echo Units (USM GO, USN 60)

Experience with NAS 410 requirements

Active DoD Secret Clearance and ability to obtain special program access

Preferred Qualifications

Efficient at MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office systems

Must have the skills and knowledge to interpret codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control NDT method(s)

Capable of selecting the method and technique for a specific inspection

Capable of preparing and verifying the adequacy of procedures and work instructions

Capable of approving NDT procedures and work instructions for technical adequacy

Capable of conducting NDT for the acceptance of parts and document the results

Ability to work with a team

Excellent communication skills

Self-Starter and ability to work through an issue to closure

Salary Range: $45,000 - $76,300The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
