Plant Controller

Description Robert Half Management Resources is seeking a contract Controller to oversee the financial management of our client's production facility in Davis County. The ideal candidate will have solid general ledger and operational accounting management experience. The role requires proactive financial leadership and will be an integral partner to the General Manager and the Plant Leadership Team.Responsibilities: Oversee all general ledger and operational accounting activity. Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings. Prepare comprehensive financial reports for the board and investors including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Perform regular inventory analysis and production variance analysis. Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Review, verify, and present strategic financial information. Analyze e-commerce sales patterns to discern trends, issues, and opportunities. Lead the annual budgeting and planning process, incorporating relevant e-commerce sales projections. Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulatory requirements. Serve as a strategic partner to the General Manager and Plant Leadership Team. Develop financial business plans and forecasts.Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA/MBA preferred. Minimum of seven years’ experience in an accounting role, ideally in a manufacturing environment. Experience with e-commerce sales analysis highly desirable. Proven experience as a Financial Controller. Experience managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software packages.
