These highly motivated individuals ensure efficient production while promoting and working safely within established policies and procedures.This role will be in charge of supervising the 1st shift.Location: Springville, UT.Responsibilities:

Actively lead the Safety Committee, enhance the Safety culture while maintaining compliance of company policy and regulations.

Effectively lead and develop employees to drive a performance culture that values follow-through, quality, and commitment.

Facilitate Continuous improvement to reduce cost of quality, lead times and production delay opportunities.

Exhibit and promote Flowserve’s behaviors to coordinate and interface with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Engineering, and customers as necessary, toward an environment that encourages teambuilding, decision-making, problem solving.

Execute daily/weekly/monthly production plans, communicate status of production schedule to stakeholders.

Lead corrective action requests and take initiatives outside direct area of responsibility to drive quality improvements in the organization.

Maintain all areas of the shop interior and exterior utilizing 6S principles.

Achieve monthly and quarterly shipment, expense budget, and operating income plans. Must communicate all production roadblocks to achieving schedules.

Train, develop and motivate the shop personnel to drive accountability and ownership, instill pride in work, respect, and sense of belonging in the workplace as well as insuring team members are cross trained with the different functions on the assembly/repair and shipping/receiving areas.

Facilitate a site culture that is aligned with Flowserve’s core values and behaviors, and lead by example

Create and maintain work order routers for parts manufacturing.

Administrate the Preventative maintenance program for plant assets.

Requirements:

BS/BA degree in relevant field: Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering.

Strong computer skills using Microsoft office applications (Excel)

Leadership experience (Manager, Supervisor, Shop Lead)

Statistical control of the process.

Production planning in different work centers.

Management of KPIs (utilization, efficiency, productivity, scrap, rework).

Analysis for the solution of problems in lean manufacturing.

Microsoft Project or similar.

Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

High Mechanical Aptitude with experience in Machining and Assembly Operations.

Knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools (AMEF, VSM, 6's, SMED, etc).

Experience with ISO-9000-14000

Desirable knowledge of welding standards (AWS, ASME)
