We believe that security is implemented by design and security teams partner with technical and non-technical teams to continually improve security by providing guidance on policies, procedures and best practices, supporting our teams, and implementing reliable and secure services. In this critical role, you will be expected to apply your strong leadership, problem solving and engineering skills to prioritize and execute on new initiatives and improvements to existing processes of our security infrastructure.The position requires excellent leadership, influence, communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, and must be able to work a hybrid schedule in the Midvale, UT office. Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and mentor security engineers to grow and implement first-class security solutions
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, email security, end-point protection, data encryption, and access controls
- Stay current on emerging security threats and technologies, and recommend changes to security procedures and infrastructure to address new threats
- Strong partnership with security governance, and application security teams to implement and establish security standards and processes along with best practices for delivery of scalable security solutions
- Collaborate effectively, and build relationships, with leaders, technical, and non-technical teams to identify and mitigate security risks
- Lead by example and behavior in striving for a positive impact to customers and the business in all solutions
- Develop, track, and report key performance and key risk indicators to drive security, quality, and improvements for the organization
- Ensure the success and growth of the team by mentoring and coaching while striving to share your knowledge with peers
- Experienced technical, organizational, communication and relationship building skills
- Strong leadership skills including coaching, development, team building, conflict resolution, collaboration, and leading through change
- Vulnerability/penetration testing/remediation of networks and applications
- Extensive knowledge of current and upcoming IT security technologies and threats
- Must be able to work a hybrid schedule in the Midvale, UT office
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in information security, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role
- Strong technical knowledge of security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, data encryption, and access controls
- Knowledge of security threats, attack methods, and mitigation strategies
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Hands-on experience with security standards such as ISO 27001, or NIST.
- Security certificate such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP
- Experience with implementing security controls related to NIST or CIS
- Experience with risk management frameworks
