Join our mission today.The Simulation & Training Solutions (STS) Product Software Engineering department seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to head a software development and test engineering team. This team creates world-class visual simulation software for civil and military markets. The manager will guide a group of approximately 10-20 software engineers and provide direct technical support to projects. This position will be based onsite in Salt Lake City, UT, and will report directly to the Director of Software Products for STS. May be eligible for relocation. What you will do:

You will head a team responsible for software releases, regression testing, and deliveries.

You will hold the team accountable for meeting planned program milestones and activities.

You will assess employee skills and identify training and development needed for the team.

You will establish a strong team through recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and assimilation of new hires.

You will interact with program management, ensuring that scope is managed and staffing plans are achievable.

You will actively manage staff loading, ensuring the firm and anticipated demand is accurate and appropriate staff levels are allocated.

You will coordinate with the India development and test team for additional resources and task assignments.

You will assist in strategically implementing the organization’s strategic goals.

You will ensure all enterprise engineering, quality, and business conduct processes and policies are implemented and understood.

You may be required to travel both domestically and internationally on occasion.

Education & Experience:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Skills you must have:

Experience in software or test engineering, proposal development, design, and verification/validation.

Experience in technical leadership with small to medium engineering teams.

Resource planning experience, including staff, facilities, and equipment needed for successful project execution.

Skills we value:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of simulation real-time software and systems.

Experience in test development and test automation.

Experience and working knowledge of capture process and proposal development.

Strong acumen for earned value management. Cost account management experience preferred.

Experience with Agile and DevSecOps development process.

Skilled in ALM tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Jama, Bamboo, and Crucible.

Ability to unleash energy and enthusiasm with the team.

Development of powerful networks as relationships between Engineering, Business Development and Program Management.
