POSITION SUMMARY: The Inserting Finishing Production Coordinator leads and directs production processes and associates in Manual Finishing by scheduling assignments, giving work instructions, and providing operational direction, problem solving and coaching to achieve flawless execution and on time delivery of all projects.Provide instruction and guidance to employees and audit work processes and products to confirm production specifications are met. Maintain positive and effective relationships with employees.  Direct employees to the appropriate manager regarding policy questions.Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standard, policies and procedures. Report any problems, potential problems, hazardous situations to managementInspect products and/or shipments to verify conformance to specificationsReview and approve machine set ups, production samples, and/or shipments as necessaryIdentify and report opportunities for continual improvementWhen necessary, attend production meetings and/or confer with other departments to coordinate production activitiesCoordinate or perform training for new employees, contract workers, and/or guests to ensure safety, quality, and production requirements are understood.Ensure the “Quality Policy and Objectives” are understood and achievedMay provide oversight of work conducted by junior-level staff and/or review/audit work for accuracyMay update and maintain shift schedules in the time and attendance system, as well as enter attendance transactions
