Your role:

As a Software Engineer II at CHG Healthcare Services, Inc., you will be responsible for the following:

Design, develop, and maintain the unique software systems that connect healthcare clients and providers, protect sensitive information, fulfill all regulatory requirements, and ensure that financial accounting systems are secure; collaborate with business partners and product leadership to understand needs, and work closely with enterprise architects, solution architects, principal engineers, and engineering leadership to implement solutions in accordance with industry best practices on Modio Health cloud-based platforms; work alongside other engineers on the team with a goal for continuous improvement and consistently apply best practices; apply test-driven development principles to drive high quality software development; collaborate cross-functionally with business analysts, product managers, UI/UX designers and other engineers to come up with the best solutions for users; assist the team in meeting project commitments; develop high-quality software following solid architecture design, engineering best-practices and defined software development methodologies; build to high-quality, being prepared at time of pull request with automated contract, unit, integration and functional tests to "prove out" and validate your code; participate in code review process to ensure code quality and for personal growth (learn from team member's suggestions and apply in practice); participate in technical refinements to efficiently breakdown Epics/Stories into executable tasks (including targeting thin vertical slices); practice defensive coding practices, implementing software design patterns and developing for security; learn to quickly identify and develop to reduce technical debt; provide application support and triage as needed for software running in production; and be able to create and complete a Root Cause Analysis for production issues.

Your qualifications:

  • Scrum and Agile project management methodologies.
  • Front-end application frameworks: Angular, Vue.js, Node.js, or React.
  • JavaScript and TypeScript programming languages.
  • Using TDD (test driven development) to write and validate code.
  • Performing test automation and analysis of test results.
  • Implementing API (Application Programming Interface) services in a micro-service event-driven environment.
  • Designing and building microservices and RESTful APIs.
  • Bachelor's Degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • 2 years of experience in Computer Science or Information Systems
