You will be an advocate for quality, assisting with architecture and development, and driving best practices for Test Driven Development and continuous delivery via automated testing. Your role:- Maintain and improve test automation standards and automation framework.
- Create and maintain automated test scripts to validate the system at various phases of the software development lifecycle (e.g., integration test suite, regression test suite, smoke test suite, etc.).
- Work collaboratively with quality assurance, software development, and product management to ensure the creation of quality products that meet customer needs.
- Run test automation builds, analyze results, and report issues found.
- Evaluate manual test cases to convert into automated test cases.
- Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
- Research solutions for scaling and improving performance.
- Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
- Knowledge of SDLC concepts.
- Professional experience in writing and maintaining test automation using testing frameworks such as Jasmine/Jest, or applications such as Serenity, Selenium, Webdriver.IO.
- Experience with Cypress-IO and/or Pact-IO a plus.
- Professional experience with Object Oriented programming in languages like Java and JavaScript.
- Experience designing, building, and testing microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with build management tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, etc.).
- Knowledgeable of DevOps CI/CD practices, tooling, and pipeline management.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum software development.
- Familiarity with standard bug reporting tools such as Jira or TestRail.
- Familiar with test driven development (TDD) methodology.
- Familiar with version control/configuration management systems and defect tracking software.
- Self-starter with the strong ability to manage multiple tasks and project milestones is required.
- Excellent knowledge of current software testing industry tools and standard methodologies.
- College degree or equivalent and 2+ years automation experience, including testing methodology and tool experience.
- Experience using Amazon Web Services and containers (Kubernetes, Docker) a plus.
- Experience with designing and building web automation frameworks preferred.
