Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted. Applicants must meet the minimum requirements listed below to be eligible for consideration.Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour.Essential Duties:

Under close to general direction from a supervisor, organize, schedule, implement, and evaluate assigned recreational, athletic, and/or special event programs.

Develop registration forms, policies, and practices in collaboration with operations staff.

Establish rosters and/or participant lists.

Establish and maintain schedules including organizing tournaments.

Schedule needed facilities and ensure appropriate access.

Monitor status and condition of program equipment.

Order supplies and purchase program-specific materials in accordance with established budgets.

Track expenses.

Make recommendations on needed materials not covered under existing budgets.

Develop marketing strategies under the direction of a supervisor.

Create flyers, brochures, announcements, and various program specific marketing materials.

Supervise part-time staff and/or volunteers assigned to specific programs.

Assist in the recruitment, evaluation, and training of staff.

Ensure adequate coverage for programs including scheduling and assigning work.

Ensure adherence to operational rules and procedures.

Ensure part-time staff and/or volunteers understand, communicate, and enforce assigned program rules and regulations.

Identify and report performance issues to the supervisor.

Evaluate assigned programs and provide informational feedback to supervisors regarding participation level and program effectiveness compared to program costs.

Solicit information from program participants.

Maintain and prepare a variety of statistics and reports.

Assist in developing new strategies for programs including making recommendations on program changes.

Receive approval from supervisor prior to making significant program changes.

Assist other staff members and the public as needed.

Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

Two years of experience in a recreation setting working in a recreation facility or coordinating programs; OR

Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Physical Education, or closely related field; OR

A n equivalent combination of job-related education and experience [substituting each one (1) year of post-secondary education/training for six (6) months of experience].

A valid, lawful Driver License.

Hours: Flexible. Approximately 20 hours a week with actual schedule to be decided by the hiring manager.Pre-employment Screening: Prior to appointment, applicant will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal.
