Description: Job Title: Hardware Design Engineer Job Location: Salt Lake City, UT Job Code: CS20231502-97133 Job Description: We are seeking an ambitious hardware engineer to help us design custom circuit technology for software-defined radio applications. As a member of our team, you’ll help us build groundbreaking digital and RF circuits for the special operations and intelligence communities to address challenging national security problems and enable planning and decision making in domains as diverse as active threat deterrence, singal integlligence, cyber operations, machine learning, image processing, and applied data analytics. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team of engineers who believe in fostering an open, collaborative work environment to solve complex problems. As a Hardware Design Engineer you will: Assist in the development of of communications systems through board-level integration of RF and high-speed digital comonents, commercially available chipsets, and embedded processors

Product Design: Scheamtic Capture, Simulations, PCB analysis and layout

Document your designs from requirements, testing procedures and bill of material

Perform detailed perforamce and functional measurements and debug at a hardware level

Perforamnce characterization of hardware over a wide variety enviroment conditions

Use Industry standard interfaces (e.g. 1GE, 10GE, 40GE, 100GE, SPI, UART, SDRAM, DDR3, DDR4 JESD, PCIe, Ethernet)

Support test engineering with transition of hardware to manufacturing testing

Contribute to design review, system integration

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

GPA of 3.0 or greater (3.5 preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ months (internships) experience with hardware verification, scheamtic capture, PCB Layout.

Experience in laboratory debug techniques using digital scopes, logic analyzers, BERTS, and other complex measurement devices.

Familiarity with code revision management tools such as Git/Clearcase.
