Sr. Manager, Cloud Services Engineering to join the organization. This role will report directly to the Data and Cloud Services Director. This role will hold responsibility for establishing the foundational engineering and on-boarding of Cloud Services. This role will partner closely with our infrastructure, application, data and engineering services teams to establish a comprehensive cloud maturity strategy. This will both look toward the future of our cloud, but at the same time safeguard our overall resilience strategy, aligning our current application profiles on premise and their evolution into cloud ready application suites. The responsibilities for the

Sr. Manager, Cloud Services Engineering will include:
  • Protect the Cloud Services teams from distractions and scope creep
  • Willing to innovate, drive cultural change, and push organizational boundaries
  • Establish a complete and comprehensive cloud foundations, on-board cloud native services, and establish security controls to meet the application and infrastructure migration strategy
  • Build an organization able to establish engineering best practices to move workloads from on premise to cloud with the lowest possible friction, while at the same time establishing the foundation for a fully cloud ready enterprise ecosystem
  • Collaboratively work together with peer organizations to establish symmetry between the DevOps evolution, automation journey and the go-to-Cloud strategy
  • Evolve the enterprise vision of automation testing and security practices to ensure a comprehensive and safe journey to cloud
  • Hire and develop highly engaged and skilled engineering team members.
  • Create and manage budget and monthly financial reports
  • Coordinate across a complex organization
  • Establish an enterprise-wide communication plan to ensure ongoing support and awareness of the strategy
  • Responsible for executive and board level communication ensuring ongoing support and awareness of the engineering strategy
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Requires a Bachelor’s in Information technology, computer science, business or a related field and 10+ years’ experience with project management processes, methodologies and tools, resource and change management practices and techniques or other directly related experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral; communication will be required on a broad spectrum to the entire organization, as well as targeted communication and planning with our senior most executive team members.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet requirements
  • Public Cloud experience in moving workloads from on premise into the public cloud
  • Experience having established and modernized a delivery cycle from a legacy environment into a modern, automated delivery organization
  • Integration Fabric experience
  • Vendor management experience, to help align and keep our commitments on track, and within an improving cost structure
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment a plus
  • SAFe delivery experience a plus

Location:This position requires regular face-to-face interaction with teams, business stakeholders, and executives in the Salt Lake City, Utah, area. We will consider candidates in the area or able to relocate to the area.
