Job Description:

Required Skills• Experience in Data Center Operations such as, network cabling, and inventory hardware• Installation and physical support of network, compute, and storage devices• Linux Systems Administration experience in medium to large scale environments• Experience installing and configuring Linux, esp., Oracle Linux• Kickstart and PXE boot experience• Understanding of NFS, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, and LDAP services• Knowledge of Fiber Channel, iSCSI, or InfiniBand• Experience with OVM, KVM, or other OS virtualization solutions• Curiosity and willingness to learn new skills• Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and informatively to senior level developers and managers• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.Desired skills include:• Ability to work independently and across teams• Good technical writing and communication skills.• Strong analytical skills to identify problem root causes.• Systematic problem-solving approach in resolving operations issues.Preferred qualifications• BS degree in CS or Engineering• Three plus years of related experience in a medium to large Distributed network and computing environment• Experience working in project teams• Certifications Cloud technologies would be added advantage.
