As a CACI's Aerospace Solutions Group Systems Engineer, you will serve as a systems engineering subject matter expert. You will provide oversight of engineering practices as applied to hardware and software development, system integration, subassembly and product verification, and test processes, through final delivery; report results and advise management of these efforts; serve as a systems engineering subject matter expert in briefing and responding to customer requests and requirements. Directly assist the Engineering Manager on all tasks beginning with initial requirements analysis, accomplish bid and proposal tasks with the Project Manager, and play a key role on functional baseline definition. You will contribute to the refinement and maintenance of the System Engineering processes. Serve as a systems engineering subject matter expert in briefings and responding to customer requests. What You'll Get to Do:
  • Organize and Perform requirements management tasks for a large DoD program with a multitude of diverse task order.
  • Contribute to the development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for the engineering team members and test developers through product life cycle management (concept to delivery) of test systems within cost, scope, and schedule.
  • Using a Requirements Traceability Matrix as a foundation, assist the test system development teams in: Operational, functional and physical allocation; software applications at both the system level and the component level; hardware architecture design, development and testing; requirements satisfaction.
  • Coordinate team efforts with management and engineering leaders.

More About the Role:

This role will be partially or fully onsite at the customer's location of Hill AFB, UT. Interfacing with customers regarding developmental efforts (reviewing government furnished technical documentation and deriving requirements) will be major role.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Familiarity with US Federal Acquisition Regulations and D-FAR.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent engineering degree. Must exhibit focus on electrical systems.
  • Eight or more years of experience with Systems Engineering roles as described herein and responsibilities on US Government contracts.
  • Product life cycle management IAW IEEE 15288 as applied to requirements analysis, review, synthesis and verification methods.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Technical Risk Assessment and Monitoring.
  • Product development experience through initial phase production.
  • Integration and test of hardware and software.
  • Experience with design reviews and justifying designs/development.
  • Technical Performance Measurement.
  • Demonstrated expertise with digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, closed loop servo systems, and AC and DC power supplies.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent engineering degree.
  • Requirements Allocation to Subcontractors.
  • Experience with National Instruments test tools and hardware.
  • Experience with ANSI-C or equivalent.
  • Support equipment development in accordance with (IAW) MIL-PRF-28800, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461.
  • Experience with PXI or equivalent technologies.
  • Development of automated test systems (ATE) and test program sets (TPS) for aircraft electrical, mechanical, avionics and engine systems.
  • Knowledge and use of ISO 9001, AS9100 or CMMI quality process standards.
