Job Title: Water/Wastewater EngineerJob DescriptionA growing Utah-based civil engineering firm seeks a Water/Wastewater Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license and experience in municipal water design or treatment, including culinary or sewer water treatment. The ideal candidate will lead a team of 3 Engineers in Training (EITs) on various municipal water-related projects.Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of 3 Engineers in Training (EITs) on municipal water-related projects.
Design and oversee booster pump station, water tank, and water line replacement projects.
Develop and implement hydraulic and water modeling solutions.
Manage lift stations and treatment processes for both wastewater and culinary water.
Utilize Civil 3D and other water modeling software for project designs.
Communicate project designs and updates effectively with mayors and the public.
Essential Skills
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Experience in municipal water design or treatment.
Proficiency in Civil 3D and other water modeling software.
Strong understanding of hydraulics and water modeling.
Experience in lift stations and water treatment processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to present designs and updates to mayors and the public effectively.
Work EnvironmentThe preferred work environment is in-office, 5 days a week, from 8 am to 5 pm. The position is hourly with 1.5x overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40 per week. The firm prioritizes work-life balance, ensuring workflows match team abilities to complete work within 40 hours each week. Benefits include four weeks of combined sick and PTO time, with 40 hours front-loaded and the rest accrued weekly. Employees can choose any 9 holidays per year.
