ENGINE BOSS'S and SQUAD BOSS'S NEEDED for the 2024 Season

All firefighters MUST have a CURRENT RED CARD and provide all training certificates including a CURRENT PACK TEST certificate. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact us.

Will be fighting wildland fires in the western United States.

HOURS/DAYS: Varied and long. This is a seasonal on-call position. Once called you could be out a straight 14 days or even 21 days at a time. Positions are on an ON-CALL BASIS. Must be able to report when called. The daily pay rate is dependent on experience. Do you have a current DOT medical card? Let us know!

Must have your own sleeping bag, tent, and personal hygiene items.

The Firefighter Type 1 (FFT1/Squad Boss) leads a small group (usually not more than seven members) and is responsible for their safety on wildland and prescribed fire incidents. The FFT1 supervises resources at the FFT2 level and reports to a Single Resource Crew Boss (ENGB) or other assigned supervisor.

Squad Boss's (FFT1) MUST have their Task Book completed. Provide a copy of the task book, S131 Certificate, all required FFT2 certificates, and a current RT130.

The Engine Boss (ENGB) leads a single fire engine and attached personnel and is responsible for their safety on wildland and prescribed fire incidents. The ENGB supervises their assigned engine and personnel and reports to a Strike Team/Task Force Leader or other assigned supervisor.

Engine Boss's MUST have their Task Book Completed. Provide a copy of the ENGB task book, your SQDB/FFT1 task book, S290, and S230 Certificates, all required FFT2 certificates, and a current RT130. Must have been on a fire within the last five (5) years and provide proof that you have worked as the Engine Boss. ENGB pay ranges from $750+ per day DOE. You must be qualified with all of the above certificates and requirements.

Needed for Wildland Fires and Natural disasters.

Our emergency response personnel average more working days than any other emergency response company.

This past season our crews were out for over 120+ days.
