Baker- Pastry

The Baker is responsible for the production of product in each category within the Bake Shop to include the AM bake, pastry, prep, wholesale orders and packaging. The baker takes on a little of each of these positions on any given day but with an added emphasis on pastry.

When it comes to pastries, the excellent Baker takes the utmost care in the creation of their pastries, meticulously preparing each tart, cake, cupcake, custard and all other delectable dessert items for the cold case as if it were for their own special occasion. The excellent Baker ensures that product is prepped and ready for the AM Baker so that they can add the finishing touches to make the product dazzle for the eye of the beholder – our guests! The excellent Baker also ensures that our grab and go cases are filled to brim with amazing desserts that our guests can bring home to their family and friends.

The Ideal Candidate:

Produces products in following categories and follows menu rotation as instructed:

Cookies/cookie doughs

Muffins/muffin batters

Scones & savory breakfast options

Special Orders

Quick Breads

Bars and brownies

Finishing/garnishing tarts, cakes, custards and cream puffs

Ensures the necessary prep and products are made to provide the AM Baker with product for the cold case

Assists with necessary prep and products that are needed to fill the grab and go case and the rack of non-refrigerated items

Ensures all finished products are labeled appropriately and stored according to department protocol

Maintains a meticulously clean and organized work area during a shift, cleans work area and helps with closing duties.

Maintains the highest standards of courteous, professional customer service, follows-through on all customer question

This position is Full Time and pays $17.00 plus tips! (Part Time Candidates with pastry experience will be considered) Previous experience will be taken into consideration.
