LabCorp is currently seeking a Formulations Technologist to join it’s MedTox team located in Burlington, NC!Medical drug monitoring at MedTox Laboratories is performed on a urine sample, using state-of-the-art, ultra-high performance liquid chromatography, and tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC/MS-MS) analysis, as well as supporting immunoassays for select drug classes. The Formulations Technologist will be responsible for determining reagent levels and testing different combinations for lateral flow immunoassay tests following FDA design control and ISO 13485 requirements. In addition, this position will also be responsible for creating buffers for use in formulating test strips. This position will report directly to the Formulations Supervisor and will be working closely with Quality and Operations as needed.The working schedule for this position will be: 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Follow defined protocols and procedures to formulate tests on lateral flow test strips (including reagent dilution and working with antibodies).

Evaluate test performance to determine if the test meets acceptance criteria

Create buffers as needed for the formulation of test strips.

Work independently and within a team environment.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, medical technology or related

Minimum of 1 year of clinical diagnostic laboratory testing experience required

Prior experience with design control and ISO 13485 are desirable.

Ability to apply critical thinking skills and problem solving are highly recommended.

Attention to detail is highly recommended.

Knowledge of laboratory testing or medical device manufacturing is recommended.

Strong skills with basic mathematical operations.

Strong communication and organizational skills.
