POSITION SUMMARY

:

Sugarbush is seeking an employee to maintain and improve the playing and esthetic conditions of the golf course through sound agronomic, cultural and environmental practices. To lead and direct all staff members in a safe and productive manner and to perform such duties with as little disruption as possible to our playing guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES

:

  • Direct and supervise staff in mowing of all turf areas, course set up, bunker maintenance and all other maintenance as it to course condition and turf health.
  • Operate and maintain the irrigation system.
  • Monitor and scout for turf pathogens and report any disease activity to superintendent.
  • Oversee capital projects to ensure work is being performed to our standards are on budget and will improve the course esthetics and playability.
  • Train staff and hold weekly staff and safety meetings.
  • Communicate with Pro Shop staff daily about play, projects, and events.

QUALIFICATIONS

:

  • Must hold current certifications for pesticide application.
  • Must have Valid Drivers License with clean driving record.
  • Must have knowledge of the game of golf.
  • Must have working knowledge of Rain Bird and Toro irrigation repair, maintenance and operation.
  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma.
  • Must be physically able to perform strenuous work and lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must maintain a positive attitude.
