If yes, come join one of the largest off-price retailers in the nation- join the Burlington Stores team as an Industrial Engineer- Store Operations!The Industrial Engineer- Store Operations primary responsibilities are to update and maintain our engineered labor standards platform. In addition, identifying and analyzing key metric data to support ongoing operational processes, workload simplification and new initiatives. This job requires problem solving skills and strong analytical capabilities, along with data management and great communication skills.Assemble and maintain relevant data sets and information pertinent to store operations (i.e. Time Studies, Labor Standards, etc)
Become a SME (subject matter expert) in our labor standards platform (LaborPro) and ensure the proper inputs, maintenance and application of the system
Analyze data and store processes with an investigative mindset to identify trends, opportunities and pain points; and recommend appropriate action to be taken
Partner with field and store management to validate and react to trends and outliers; providing feedback and problem-solving recommendations to ensure resolution
Support the Industrial Engineer Manager in monitoring store processes, building relationships with business partners and developing tools and presentations
Model different labor scenarios and assess the impact of the changes
Drive continuous process improvement from back room through check out
Develop best practices based on Engineering statistics and methodology
Assist with implementation of new technology or initiatives within the store network
Strong ability to gather, analyze and interpret information and develop, recommend and implement solutions while maintaining budget.
Demonstrated ability to interact across a broad range of organizational levels and functions.
Ability to analyze process elements, identify waste and efficiency opportunities
Utilize MS Excel/Access to develop tools for analysis and modeling
Knowledge of statistics and probability
Knowledge of LMS and time study software
Preferred experience working in a retail distribution or stores environment with labor management systems
Work measurement, standard data, and predetermined time systems and tools (MOST) with an emphasis on time study expertise.
Development, maintenance, and implementation of a management observation and accountability programs.
Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Related Engineer Field .
