The role of Planner, New Stores could be right for you! Bring your expertise to one of the largest off-price retailers in the nation, join the Burlington Stores, Inc. as the Planner, New Store!The responsibilities include the development and successful execution of topside as well as class level financial plans, ensuring regional flow strategies are executed and optimized. The Planner, New Stores will work closely with the Manager, New Store Planning, Planning & Allocation, Merchandising, Real Estate, and Store Operations to understand and support execution of the New Store strategy. This work directly impacts the growth strategy and associated KPIs of Burlington Stores.New Store & Non-Comp Store Planning and Trending Execute the New Store build process communicating with partners across various functions (Planning & Allocation, Visual Merchandising, etc.) as needed

Ideate and provide supporting data that will be leveraged in the development of strategies that support the ongoing growth of New Store planning processes

Provide analysis and research to support the creation of the optimal assortment

Conduct post-opening analysis comparing sales performance to underwriting plan and develop recommendations to mitigate risk working closely with manager on execution strategies

Develop sound Store/Division/Category/Class level plans which are reflective of the regional flow strategies for the market they are opening in Plan pre-open sales and inventory for new stores based on demand forecast, localized distortions, and business insight

React with swiftness to optimize or right size sales and inventory plans to proper level for outperforming or underperforming stores

Reforecast New stores throughout the defined new store lifecycle

New Store & Non-Comp Store Reporting & Analysis Publish and monitor new store fill rate report including style count to proactively address allocation deficits and recommend actions to Manager

Manage execution of the new store’s post-opening planning process and tools

Analyze new store performance at opening through stabilization to optimize sales and mitigate inventory risks

Leverage analytical insight to aid the New Store Planning Team in the development of tools and standardized reports that will drive results efficiently

New Store & Non-Comp Store Process Maintenance Create and maintain New Store records in critical systems

Provide documentation for the update of SOP documents that will evolve the New Store planning process and tools as needed by the business

Share subject matter expertise on tools and processes to facilitate the onboarding of team members

Highlight’s opportunities and recommends process changes for gains in efficiency and overall business process elevation

Our Candidate will have a Bachelor Degree, preferably in an analytical discipline with 3-5 years prior experience in retail merchandising, allocation, or planning environment conducting retail analyticsSkills and Abilities: Proficiency in Excel (Access, or visual basic a plus)
