Typically responsible for: managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision, coaching, resolving difficult and sometimes complex problems.Job OverviewThis position develops and maintains course curriculum and supporting training materials for new employee training as well as employee training in software upgrades, updates, and refresher training. This role will also manage the provider optimization program. Designs robust evaluation methods for training programs and acts as a content expert for creating and providing training for Epic and other third-party applications. This role is responsible for building, testing, and maintaining the training environment. Works closely with leaders, subject matter experts, and team members to ensure all training reflects operational workflows, policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and industry best practices for patient care. Must be flexible in following a varied work schedule to support the needs of the departments and employees trained. Can include first, second or third shift work.Job DescriptionMinimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, or a clinical field.
Five (5) years as a credentialed training including three (3) years as a trainer in the healthcare industry.
Experience in a formal classroom setting with excellent classroom facilitation/speaking skills and strong understanding of training methodology.
Preferred Qualifications :
Clinical background and/or knowledge of clinical terminology and environment.
Experience with providing EMR training and support.

Conducts training to new and existing employees.
Oversees the provider optimization support program for all Tufts Medicine physicians and APP's.
Works with organizational leadership to identify needs and develop specific training programs to meet these needs.
Creates, edits, and maintains curriculum and learning materials for all roles that require training for assigned applications.
Develops and communicates training status reports and other project presentation materials as needed.
Trains additional trainers within the organization on assigned applications.
Assists with identification and resolution of specific training or support problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups.
Participates in continuous improvement efforts, including but not limited to, evaluating training effectiveness and recommending and implementing improvements and updates as needed.
Develops and maintain the training environments for primary application suites supported.
Assists with the development of project plans.
Assists with product go-lives where necessary.
Provides status reports and updates in a timely manner throughout projects.
Travels to Tufts Medicine entities as needed for training, classes, meetings and other support.
Physical Requirements :
Frequent sitting, occasional standing & walking, and lifting of 5-10 lbs.
Mental requirements will be intense at times with involvement in many concurrent multi-faceted projects.
Requires manual dexterity using fine hand manipulation to operate a computer keyboard or related equipment.
Requires ability to see computer screen, monitoring equipment and reports.
Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of the concepts, standards and practices related to adult learning and educational effectiveness. Engaging facilitation skills.
Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for delivering engaging and informative formal and informal training programs.
Ability to read, understand, interpret and apply technical manuals and documentation Understanding and experience in evaluating training effectiveness.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and rapport-building skills required to work effectively with all levels across the organization.
Ability to express ideas and convey technical information effectively both verbally and written communication.
Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Solid computer skill proficiency and knowledge of business practices.
Well-developed analytical, organization, and presentation skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
