In-Shop Pipe Welders needed in Burlington, NCJob Description:We are looking for an experienced In-Shop Pipe Welder who is proficient in working with carbon steel and stainless steel pipes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication tasks in accordance with industry standards.Responsibilities:
Perform stick welding (SMAW) and TIG welding (GTAW) on carbon steel and stainless steel pipes.
Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications.
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
Conduct tests and inspections of welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a pipe welder.
Proficient in stick welding (SMAW) and TIG welding (GTAW).
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.).
Deftness and attention to detail.
Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) is a plus.
