Accountant

Description We are in search of an Accountant to join our team in Williamsburg, Virginia. This individual will be primarily responsible for managing accounts receivable, conducting bank reconciliations, and preparing financial reports. The role also entails proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to process journal entries accurately. Responsibilities: Administer accounts receivable and ensure all transactions are accurate and up-to-date Conduct bank reconciliations on a regular basis to track company expenditures and receipts Prepare regular financial reports that provide an overview of the company's financial status Utilize Microsoft Excel for data organization, analysis, and financial modeling Accurately process journal entries to maintain an orderly accounting system. Requirements Must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required Previous experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is beneficial Experience in Financial Reporting is essential Must have the ability to create and manage Journal Entries Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required Attention to detail and high level of accuracy is necessary Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are beneficial Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to multitask and manage time effectively is required Familiarity with accounting software and systems is beneficial Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
