Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. The incumbent will be responsible for managing all accounting functions including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, auditing, and billing. This role also encompasses overseeing the transition from QuickBooks Enterprise to other business central systems by the end of the year. Responsibilities Oversee all bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions Prepare General Ledger (GL) statements and perform reconciliations Handle sales and use tax calculations and reporting Perform some HR work such as handling policies, procedures, job descriptions, and handbooks Update original policies and procedures as needed Manage the transition from QuickBooks Enterprise to other business central systems Oversee and manage a team of 20 employees Collaborate with the firm they use for additional accounting needs Handle auditing and billing functions Requirements Comprehensive understanding and practical experience with Accounting Functions Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Auditing and its associated procedures Ability to handle Billing Functions effectively and efficiently Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise software Demonstrated leadership skills in a managerial or supervisory role Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently Proven problem-solving abilities in an accounting context Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when needed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Professional accounting certification such as CPA would be an asset.
