Description Robert Half has an exceptional opportunity for a long-term Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at a recognized company in the Healthcare, Hospitals, Social Assistance industry. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. Based out of the Charlottesville, Virginia area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term opening.Your responsibilities
Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
Conduct full-cycle A/P
Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners
Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
Requirements - Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Background working with Submit Expense Reports
Earlier work involving Concur
Form 1099 experience highly valued
Sage Accounting Software experience
Strong familiarity with Multiple Vendors
Adeptness in Batch Records
Practical knowledge of expense reports
Demonstrated knowledge of Approved Invoices
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Good understanding of Concur
Experience with IRS W-9 Forms
Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Process Expense Reports experience highly preferred
Previous experience working with customer service
General familiarity with Billing Statements
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Strong attention to detail
