Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk based in Richmond, Virginia. This role falls under the industry of account reconciliation and involves the daily management and processing of accounts payable in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Oversee the entire process of accounts payable, ensuring all invoices are coded accurately. Conduct regular check runs to maintain the cash flow and financial stability. Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry purposes, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate. Responsible for the reconciliation of company accounts on a regular basis to ensure financial accuracy. Process invoices efficiently, ensuring all details are accurate and all invoices are processed in a timely manner. Handle customer inquiries related to accounts payable, providing exceptional customer service. Monitor customer accounts regularly, taking appropriate action when necessary. Maintain accurate records of all customer credit applications, ensuring all information is updated and correct. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) Experience with Account Reconciliation Familiarity with Check Runs Knowledge in Coding Invoices Strong Data Entry skills Experience in Invoice Processing Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices Proficiency in using accounting software and related systems.
