Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Advanced Systems Administrator to support a network of monitoring systems for the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organization. As an Advanced Systems Administration Specialist, you'll serve as a front-line interface for team engineers with technical issues by conducting systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies. Your responsibilities will include the maintenance and operation of servers and network architecture to support the remote monitoring of a group of fielded sensors. You'll also be responsible for the day-to-day support of server services by performing server administration for physical and virtual server operating systems and configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting of physical and virtual hardware and network related interfaces on servers. You'll also perform OS and vendor software patching on servers and monitor physical and virtual servers' performance using monitoring tools.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with GDIT Cybersecurity on best practices and enclave management
  • Plan and execute cybersecurity best practices of remote RHEL7 and Windows systems in reference to CMMC 2.0 / NIST 800-171
  • Manage and maintain remote site firewalls and network infrastructure
  • Test OS hardening in test bed network
  • Maintain CentOS and RHEL servers, both software and hardware
  • Manage users across remote sites and internal servers
  • Manage remote desktop software
  • Maintain server backups
  • Automate processes where possible

What you bring to the table:

  • Cybersecurity or IT degree
  • Certifications: CIISP, CASP+, Security+, or other cybersecurity certification
  • Red Hat Linux administration, RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA preferred
  • CCNA or other Cisco certification preferred
  • Advanced networking ability. Experience with CISCO network equipment
  • Ansible IT automation
  • Some scripting language - bash, PowerShell , python,
  • RHEL Kickstarts

Nice to have:

  • Experience with: Gitlab CI/CD, Jenkins, Nagios
  • DevOps experience: Docker, Azure AKS, Kubernetes, Gitlab CI/CD
  • PKI
  • Windows administration and automation
  • VirtualBox , Medusa, Spacewalk, mta , postfix,

Target salary range: USD $94,200.00/Yr. - USD $101,900.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
