Agile Coach

Position Description CGI is looking for an Agile Coach to join our US Industry Solutions Business Unit. We are actively creating and launching new product capabilities to market, and seeking an experienced Agile Coach who can champion adoption and continual improvement of agile practices for the product development and delivery. Successful candidates must be comfortable working with all levels to help the organization apply Agile, lean and DevOps approaches to foster business value delivery. Candidates must have evolved facilitation skills and be comfortable in mentoring, training and/or offering professional coaching.

Your future duties and responsibilities• Create and drive Agile adoption strategy and rollout plans for 50+ people highly distributed organizations• Provide Agile coaching to teams and programs on various aspects of the product development and delivery process, leveraging Scrum, lean, Kanban, SAFe, and DevOps principles and practices, with practical guidance transitioning from waterfall• Coach new Agile teams/programs formation and launches; and/or assess and guide the improvement of existing Agile teams/programs• Manage dynamic priorities under pressure and work flexible schedules to support globally distributed teams• Coach teams and management towards improving operating processes and outcome-based metrics. Enable the continual improvement of software development projects. This includes better predictability of scheduling, improvement of productivity, emphasis for quality of delivery commitments.• Create and continuously improve Agile guidance, training materials and content.• Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders from different parts of the organization, including but not limited to business, development, support, operations.• Embrace servant leadership and embody the qualities and mindsets that are associated with Agile methods.• Bring disclosure and transparency to the organization and build solid stakeholders relationships.• Initiate and participate in knowledge communities to maintain relevant latest knowledge and skills; and proactively share and contribute to the team and organization's collective growth.• Be a team player and results focused, and perform certain Agile roles when needed to move progress forward

Required qualifications to be successful in this role• 3+ years practical experience applying Agile practices and leveraging supporting tools; OR 1 or more years of experience as a hands-on Agile Coach OR at least 1 year of Solution Train Engineer/Release Train Engineer OR Scrum Master experience.• 1+ years working in an agility training/coaching role with exposure to mid to large organizational transformations, preferably leveraging SAFe• Experience with globally distributed teams• Solid background utilizing Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban, DevOps and other Agile development techniques in software development• Experience with independently transitioning software teams to a variation of Agile process.• Experience in creating and delivering Agile training/workshop• Able to handle conflict resolution well, facilitating discussion and alternatives of different approaches• Ability to quickly grasp and aggregate business domain and product knowledge• Strong emphasis on teamwork and close collaboration across all roles and functions• Solid technical background and understanding of product development and delivery organizations• Strong ability to identify risks, constraints and dependencies• Experience with customer-facing SaaS application development• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipeline• Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills, and excellent interpersonal skills• Demonstrates leadership and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate team members• Demonstrates self-motivation, initiative and strong attention to detail• Scrum Professional (CSPO or CSP-SM) certification• PMP certification

Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:• BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field• Experience with agility transformation in the Payments domain.• Experience with transforming group from waterfall to agility transformation.• Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD)• Experience with Atlassian Suite mainly JIRA and Confluence- Experience with Scaled Agile (preferably SAFe) implementations- SAFe SPC certification

Est. Salary Range (Colorado Only): $95k-$155k
