Job Description: Analyze user needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements. Perform functional allocation to identify required tasks and their interrelationships. Identify resources required for each task. Understands the clients business practices, market position and deployment of technology into Healthcare environments. Deep content knowledge of Cerner Ambulatory workflows. Performs technical and business related research to support client needs, assist in the design and preparation for implementation, development and analysis of materials/processes/workflows to support the end user in MHS GENESIS. Works with team in the analysis, formulation, development and delivery of engagement material and results. Supports the workflow analysis of new applications and optimization of existing applications. Supports design and configuration as well as testing. May assist with go-live adoption activities as assigned. Individuals in this job family will have regular interaction with clients. Consultants may also work on projects at customer sites alone or with a team. (It should be understood that this is not intended to be a detailed nor comprehensive description of any individual employee's job content. Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee). Scope Uses professional concepts in accordance with company objectives to solve complex problems in creative and effective ways. As part of the engagement team, helps establish and recommend changes to policies (both business and Information Technology) that affect the client's organization. The individual is responsible for client satisfaction and the quality of services delivered. Some barrier-to-entry (I.e. dept/peer review) exist at this level. Problem Complexity Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. May act as an advisor to unit or sub-units becomes actively involved as required to meet schedules or resolve problems Knowledge/Skills and Ability:

  • RN Ambulatory operational experience
  • Deep Cerner competency
  • Skills in developing operational workflows
  • Skills in developing operationally relevant test scripts and supporting testing activities
