We have an exciting opportunity for a

Application DevOps Engineer (Azure) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a cloud solutions builder with experience in DevOps implementations, migration, and upgrades within the Microsoft Cloud Azure solution suite. To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed; meet the education and work experience required; and must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. Other duties, in addition to the below, may be assigned as necessary to meet business needs.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Configure deployment automation and ensure functioning of software on Windows OS/.NET infrastructure using Azure DevOps cloud stack.
  • Create PowerShell scripts and configure the overall deployment (CI/CD) pipeline using Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Create REST APIs to consume .NET Technologies and PowerShell.
  • Lead Go-Live activities to deploy software successfully during and after regular business hours.
  • Establish code review process, policies, and branching structure in Azure Repositories.
  • Integrate security/code quality scans and provide code quality reports using Sonar or related tools.
  • Conduct system tests for security, performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
  • Monitor system performance and configure system alerts using Splunk or related tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical operational issues.
  • Monitor and maintain multiple Cloud DevOps environments.
  • Work with multiple agile teams to deliver fully automated Cloud solutions.
  • Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Mentor and guide other resources on the team.
  • Work with technical stakeholders to design, capture, analyze, and derive DevOps requirements.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Employer-based sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 3 years of cloud experience
  • Experience with managing Microsoft Windows Operating System and Azure DevOps
  • Working experience with MS Visual Studio and .NET/.NET Core builds

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong customer service/client facing skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming languages including C#, .NET
  • Understanding of design and development for web applications and web services (.NET Core, ASP.NET Core/ Web Forms, MVC, Razor Pages, Web API, WCF).

Other:
  • This position is primarily remote. Candidates should be located in the DC-metropolitan area due to limited client site travel to Washington, DC and our McLean, VA offices.
  • Evening and weekend support is required for this position in order to minimize disruption to mission critical services.
