Assistant Construction Project Manager - Healthcare

 CBRE Heery is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager / Clerk of the Works to oversee a new Project in Petersburg, VA for our client.This position is onsite at project site, Petersburg, VA.  Responsibilities: Conduct  and monitor the progress of construction on a daily basis.Review status of work completed during the period covered.Review that work is generally proceeding in a good and workmanlike manner and in general accordance with the approved drawings and specifications.Review contractors' direct cost payment requisitions and budget status.Review of subcontracts, bonds/subcontractor default insurance, review of change orders, review of Developer's monthly job cost reports and opine on adequacy of contingency, review of construction and disbursement schedules.Prepare project status reports and recommend the release of construction funds.Review contract drawings and specifications and opine for completeness and general compliance with commonly accepted architectural /engineering best practices.Analyze the  contractor’s direct and indirect cost budget including cost estimate back-up and coordinate with the Cost Advisory group performing parameter estimates, spot quantity take-offs and review of supporting documentation submitted by the contractor and subcontractors.Prepare Construction Risk Assessment Reports.CBRE Heery to provide Clerk-of-Works services as per the Construction Professional Services Manual (CPSM).Construction phase services include:Observation of the work for conformance with the contract documentsReview contractor payment applicationsReview RFl’s and change ordersTrack contractor scheduleCoordinate testing activitiesProvide weekly field reportingCoordinate owner furnished equipment and materialsAssist with the punch list developmentAssist with close-out activities
