The following position is to join our RTX Corporate team: Associate Director, Government Relations - Ops & Supply Chain, EH&S, and Economic DevelopmentThe position will lead the development, implementation, and management of RTX’s supply chain, operations and EH&S’s policy and regulatory strategy. The position will collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage with industry associations, and interface with regulatory authorities to advocate for policies that support RTX's strategic objectives.Primary Responsibilities:

Develop and implement supply chain and operations policy strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.

Monitor and analyze U.S. and international regulatory developments that could impact RTX’s subsidiaries’ supply chain and operations.

Identify and promote policies, government programs and regulations that could result in operation’s efficiencies, cost savings, increased resiliency, safety and RTX’s competitiveness

Identify and promote policies, government programs and regulations that support RTX’s suppliers

Identify and promote government funding for research and development to support the aerospace and defense industrial base

In collaboration with the state and local and international team, identify and secure incentives to increase capacity, develop new capabilities and optimize operations’ cost structure

In collaboration with the international team, develop policy and government engagement strategies to position RTX as an intrinsic part of the countries aerospace and defense industrial base

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify policy challenges and opportunities related to RTX’s global operations, supply chain and EH&S.

Lead the engagement with industry associations, regulatory bodies, and government agencies related to supply chain, operations, and EH&S to advocate for policies favorable to the company.

Provide expert guidance on policy implications of proposed supply chain and operations’ proposed laws and regulations

Identify potential risks of global geopolitical developments (e.g., energy security, climate policy, water) that could impact RTX’s operations and develop policy strategies to mitigate them

Monitor global trade policy developments that could impact RTX’s global operations and supply chain

Evaluate the potential impact of policy changes on RTX’s operations and recommend appropriate courses of action.

Prepare and deliver briefings, reports, and presentations to senior management and executives on policy and regulatory matters.

Work with legal teams to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and to address any potential legal risks.

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the regulatory and policy landscape.

Basic Qualifications:

University Degree in Aerospace Management, Public Policy, Law, or a related field.

Minimum 12 years of experience in supply chain, operations, policy, or regulatory roles in the aerospace and defense industry (U.S and international experience required)

In-depth knowledge of U.S. and international supply chain and operations regulatory and policy issues.

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to anticipate and address potential challenges.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex policy issues to diverse audiences.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally, as needed.
