Our team is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical practice while achieving favorable outcomes for our clients.Job Description:As a Family Law Attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients in various family law matters, including but not limited to divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, adoption, and domestic violence cases. You will work closely with clients to understand their unique situations, provide legal counsel, and advocate for their best interests in court.Key Responsibilities:
Client Representation: Represent clients in family law proceedings, including court hearings, mediation sessions, and negotiations.
Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support clients' cases and develop effective legal strategies.
Document Preparation: Draft legal documents such as petitions, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
Case Management: Manage a caseload of family law matters efficiently and effectively, ensuring deadlines are met and clients are kept informed of case progress.
Client Counseling: Provide compassionate and knowledgeable legal advice to clients, addressing their concerns and guiding them through the legal process.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
Continuing Education: Stay updated on changes in family law statutes, regulations, and case law to maintain a high level of expertise in the field.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to Virginia bar and good standing with the bar association.
Minimum of two years of litigation experience, preferably family law
Strong knowledge of family law statutes, regulations, and procedures.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Compassion, empathy, and professionalism in dealing with clients and sensitive family matters.
