Position Description: CGI has an immediate need for AWS RDS Database Engineer to join our financial services team in one of our selected CGI locations. Due to the current COVID-19 status, candidates will not be required to work within the physical work location at this time. When COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, they will be required to be located within the proximity of the assigned CGI location.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $66,300-$146,900. Your future duties and responsibilities:• Perform role of Database Engineer and support multiple cloud transformation projects• Collaborate with Cloud COE and application portfolio clients and implement solutions• Perform DB software upgrades/apply patches, performance tune DB's• Automate/Innovate to accelerate Cloud transformation• Meet Customer SLA's and manage Client communication• Work on Configuring, maintaining backups, monitoring, and alerting systems for multiple clientsRequired qualifications to be successful in this role:• AWS RDS hands on experience.• Strong Postgres DB administration experience in production environments.• Capacity planning, performance assessment of AWS RDSs.• Configuration and support of complex RDS Databases in AWS environment, Configuring and managing high availability, resiliency solutions leveraging Aurora Read replicas & Global Database.• Experience of managing multiple RDS, database versions on large systems.• Practical experience in monitoring.• Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices.• Experience in using Performance Insights, RDS KPI design and management.• Working knowledge of Lambda, Python.• Working knowledge of Devops support model.• IT industry and DBA role experience for 8-10 years.Required Tools experience :• Skilled in all aspects of AWS Aurora/RDS-Postgres database.• Skilled in SQL.• Skilled in Unix.• Skilled in using Python/JSon and automation.• Skilled in shell scripting• Experience using JIRASoftskills :• Excellent interpersonal skills with attitude towards solving problems for customers.• Client facing experience.• Good technical and analytical skills for issues troubleshooting• Must possess good communication skills, both in verbal and in written form• Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal.Desired qualificationsPrevious Mortgage Industry experience/ Financial services industry highly preferredEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTBachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred.#LI-RPF#DICESkills:- Jira
