Job Description A digital consultancy is seeking a Java Developer to join their team as they partner with a well-known convince store chain. This is a great opportunity to work on new product features for "America's Favorite Convenience Store." The ideal candidate is a team player with strong communication and experience in customer-facing roles. This is a backend development position building REST APIs and adding new features. They are leveraging Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and databases like Oracle and MongoDB. Any AWS experience is highly valued. This is a fully remote 6-month contract with possible extension, and working in Eastern Time Zone. Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience developing in Java 8+
- Strong experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot)
- Hands-on experience with databases (Oracle, MySQL, or MongoDB)
- Experience building Microservices and RESTful APIs
- Strong communication and customer-facing experience
- BS in Computer Science or a related field
- AWS or cloud environment
- Containerization knowledge with Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- 100% Java
