Description Billing Manager - immediate opening for growing middle market company based in Richmond, VA. The Billing Manager will report to the Corporate Controller and manage a team of 10-12 individuals and be responsible for accurate invoicing to customers. Additional key Job Responsibilities include: Oversees the preparation of customer bills. Perform a quality control review of invoices prepared by the billing team. Research client invoice inquiries and prepare billing adjustments. Ensure consistent and accurate billing related data quality within the ERP system. Perform month end and year end close procedures related to the billing process, including assisting with audit requests. Report and manage key performance indicators. Assist accounts receivable with daily operations while adhering to company policies. Provide superior supervision for the team while orchestrating process improvement and efficiencies over the billing process.Requirements Required Skills/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years of billing experience, ideally in a construction or professional services environment
2+years of supervisory experience and 2+ years of project workflow from initial project setup to project completion. Knowledge of contract types and related billing requirements in a government contracting environment. Understanding of financial statement implications of revenue, write-offs, and unbilled balances. Experience working within an ERP billing application. Demonstrated advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel.
